Privacy

The short version

Verso doesn't have accounts, doesn't run ads, and doesn't sell data. Your answers are stored so you and your match can see your comparison — that's it.

What we collect

• Your answers to 20 questions about how you date. Stored in our database so the comparison page can show results.
• A first name (optional) — so the comparison page can say “You & Alex” instead of “You & them.”
• An email address (optional) — only if you choose to back up your link. Used to send one recovery email. Not used for marketing.
• Basic analytics — page views and button clicks via PostHog. No personal data is attached to these events. We use this to understand how the product is used and to fix bugs.

What we don't do

• No third-party tracking cookies or ad networks.
• No selling or sharing your data with third parties.
• No account creation, passwords, or OAuth logins.
• No marketing emails — ever. The only email we send is the optional recovery link you request.

Your link = your data

Your Verso link is your save file. Anyone with the link can see your comparison. Don't share your recovery link with your match — it's your private way back. The share link is the one to send them.

AI summary

When both people finish, Verso generates a short AI-written summary of the comparison. Your answers are sent to a language model (Claude) for this purpose. The model does not store your data or use it for training.

Data storage

Answers and session data are stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS). The site is hosted on Vercel. Error monitoring uses Sentry. Analytics uses PostHog (self-hosted data pipeline, no third-party cookies).
